      Family-run ranch near Yellowstone with trail rides since 1925

      Cabins & Rooms

      Bill Cody Ranch offers log cabins with handcrafted Western furniture and private bathrooms. The cabins have no televisions, encouraging guests to use the shared lounge area or play board games and ping-pong. Each cabin includes access to the ranch's picnic area and outdoor furniture with mountain views.

      Trail Rides & Activities

      Daily horseback rides through the Shoshone National Forest are available for guests and non-registered visitors. The ranch provides horses for all experience levels on 1-hour, 2-hour, 4-hour and full-day trips. Fishing, hiking and table tennis are also offered on the property.

      Dining at the Ranch

      The on-site restaurant serves American cuisine, including bison burgers and trout, with vegetarian choices available. Breakfasts and dinners are prepared with a focus on local recipes, and the bar offers seasonal cocktails and a selection of wines. Packed lunches can be prepared for guests going on all-day trail rides.

      Family Offerings

      Children have access to a playground, indoor play area with board games, and outdoor play equipment. Evening entertainment and special kids' meals are included in the dining schedule. The property allows families to stay together in multi-guest log cabins.

      Bill Cody Ranch is situated in a canyon off the main highway, 30 minutes from downtown Cody and 30 minutes from Yellowstone National Park's east entrance. The grounds include a sun terrace, outdoor fireplace, BBQ facilities and a shared TV lounge. Guests can access trailheads and rainbow trout fishing on the Shoshone River within a short drive.
